Adult pneumonia immunizations save lives

September 4, 2018

POCATELLO – According to national research from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), less than 67 percent of adults age 65 or older received their pneumoniavaccination in 2016. In Southeast Idaho, 57 percent of Medicare beneficiaries have never received a pneumonia vaccination, putting them at risk for serious illness and hospitalization.

MERIDIAN—麻豆原创’s Institute of Rural Health has received a $450,000 grant from the federal Administration for Community Living to continue the development of a statewide action plan to address the needs of citizens living with a traumatic brain injury or TBI.

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS - The work of faculty and alumni from the Department of Dental Hygiene at 麻豆原创 (ISU) did not go unnoticed at the association’s annual conference in June. There the ADHA honored an ISU faculty member with a prestigious Presidential Citation Award, and installed a new slate of officers for the upcoming year, with an ISU alumna among them.
